Teachers can add their uploads to folders to keep them organized and searchable.

Folders can be named after a technique, like chords, scales, or warmup. They could describe a level, like beginner, intermediate or advanced, or they could be named after bands, like The Beatles or Imagine Dragons.

Create as many folders as you need to help organize your uploads.

Pro tip: - You can put an upload in multiple folders to make finding them even easier!

All the folders you create appear as an additional filter in the library.

✏️ Adding uploads to folders

To add an upload to a folder click the folders area below the upload name. If the upload isn't in any folders yet it will say 'add to folders'.

The folders list will appear. Here you can add the upload to existing folders by clicking the folder name. Create new folders by typing in the text box and hitting Return. You'll see the folder names added to the upload.

Folder names are automatically converted to lowercase. They can contain spaces but cannot have more than 25 characters. Keep them short and descriptive! πŸ˜€

Pro tip: - short folder names are better than long ones. Example - instead of making a folder called 'beginner piano scales' make folders called 'beginner', 'piano' and 'scales' and put the upload in each one. It makes searching and filtering easier! πŸ‘

πŸ—‘οΈ Removing uploads from folders

To remove an upload from a folder open the folders area by clicking on the folder names. You'll notice an Γ— button on each folder name. Clicking the Γ— will remove the upload from that folder.

If you remove the upload from all folders you'll see the 'no folders' message.

πŸ”Ž Filtering by folders

At the top of the Library page and the Faves Panel you'll see the folders filter. It shows every folder you've created. Click one or more of those folders to filter your uploads.

Click the Γ— at the end of the folder list to clear the filter and show all uploads.

Pro tip: filtering by folders can be combined with the Show and Type filters, as well as the text search. Use therm together to find exactly the right uploads! πŸš€
