On your teacher lesson page, you'll notice a a switch asking if the lesson you're creating is a makeup lesson or not.

By indicating "yes" that the lesson is in fact a makeup, a couple things result.

1.  The email reminder sent to the family now reflects the makeup lesson function 

2.   The archived lesson is now marked as "makeup" on both student and teacher               pages.

If the lesson note is not a makeup, simply mark the lesson "no" for makeup. The student email reminder will reference the lesson as a "new lesson note" and the archived lesson will have no "makeup" reference.
