If you're experiencing issues recording video in Google Chrome, or your recorded video has no sound, you may need to allow access to the camera and microphone.

There may also be cases where an update to your operating system or to Google Chrome will require to allow permissions again, even if they were working before.

To allow access to your camera and microphone on desktop/laptop Chrome:

  • Click the lock icon ๐Ÿ”’next to the address bar

  • Choose 'Allow' from the Camera dropdown

  • Choose 'Allow' from the Microphone dropdown

You should now be able to record video, with sound, in your browser. ๐ŸŽ‰ย
